Bird Control
Bird Control Experts can Deal With a Range of Airborne Pests
Effective bird control needs to be tailored to the type of building or area where the airborne pests are creating a nuisance.
Every building can be different and also attract different types of birds.
This means that the solution needs to be flexible in order combat the specific type of bird problem and be an appropriate bird control method for the building or area of land involved.
The more common birds that can create a problem, and require some form of bird control, are seagulls, pigeons, sparrows and starlings.
To deal with them, bird control specialists will carry out a careful analysis of the problem to help achieve the best results.
Gulls, a medium-sized, long-winged, bird can often be found inland and sometimes in large numbers at refuse sites, particularly in winter. They can often try to nest in properties in coastal towns.
They can cause damage by pecking at roofs, droppings can block gutters and they can damage cars or gardens and may even become aggressive.
Pigeons are a common sight in urban settings and build their nests in or on buildings and other structures, where they are usually found on ledges or in hollows. They cause damage to buildings and their droppings may erode stonework. They can also transmit disease.
House sparrows are now a less familiar sight in rural and urban locations and as a result have become less of pest in recent years because of their declining numbers.
However, starlings can still be more of a pest with damage to property resulting from their roosting and feeding habits with droppings fouling buildings and pavements.
Because of their nature as a pest, birds can be more difficult to deal with than insect or rodent infestations and as a result, it is generally advisable to call in bird control experts to deal with specific situations.
